Devils Sign Former KHLer Victor Zakharov

The Red Devils have signed six feet five inches 24-year-old Ukrainian forward Victor Zakharov who has over 30 games in the KHL on his resume. Victor played the last three seasons in Ukraine for HC Donbass and he has regularly been over a point a game, twice gaining the Playoffs most goals award. He has also played in the top flight in Kazakhstan.

The signing of Victor came about through Ukrainian connection with the Devils’ head coach Anatoly Khorozov.

“Victor has an impressive skill set and he has a class too. We wanted to bring in an energy player, someone that is going to bring great work ethic, and we think we have found the guy with Victor,” explained Anatoly

“He has proven he can play at the highest level and having coached Victor in the past I know that he leads by example, he has a great hockey IQ, has great speed and works hard every shift. He is also a great teammate, which is essential for this group.”
